General Information 

• The Congress Doors open at 14:00 Sunday 7 August for check-in to receive your packets and badges.
• The Opening Ceremony will begin at 19:00 followed by a sparkling wine reception in the foyer.
• Daily Congress Programme will begin in the morning Monday 8 August
• Wednesday afternoon the 10th will be free time after 12:15. There will be ⇒Sightseeing tours available, which you can sign up for when you ⇒register, if you wish to see the beautiful local sights.
• The Closing ceremony will end at 12:15 on Saturday August 13th.

9:00 to 10:30 Continuous Learning / Working with Musicians  
The morning sessions are called ⇒Continuous Learning sessions. Commitment is for two consecutive days to allow some development of a theme. All of these are in the ⇒University with the exception of Marwick/Veersteg and the Music Presenters who are in the ⇒Congress Center (CC). You can select up to 3 of them when you register.
During the Continuous Learning Sessions time slot there will also be our ⇒Working with Musicians which will highlight the skills of of working with musicians from 5 of the finest Alexander teachers working in the field of music.

10:30 to 11:00 Short break
There will then be a half hour break to gather at the ⇒Congress Center.

11:00 to 12:15 Plenary Lectures  
The main ⇒Plenary lecture of the day is in the ⇒Congress Center (CC A). Presenters have agreed to be available for further discussion and exchange in an ⇒afternoon workshop session, at the ⇒University

12:15 to 14:00 Lunch
The Mensa Cafeteria is at the ⇒University for those who booked the ⇒Lunch Special Offer during registration. The Mensa may also offer some ad hoc meals for cash.

14:00 to 15:15 / 14:00 to 16:45 / 15:30 to 16:45 Workshops  
The⇒afternoon workshops will take place mostly in the ⇒University, a few in the ⇒Congress Center. There will be two afternoon workshop sessions Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The first workshop sessions will take place daily from 14:00 to 15:15, the second session from 15:30 to 16:45. Some workshops are extended ones and will run on both time slots, from 14:00 to 16:45. The workshops will be open to everyone registered for the Congress, no prior registration required.

16:45 to 17:15 Short break
There will then be a half hour break to walk from the ⇒University to the ⇒Congress Center.

17:15 to 18:15 Science of Human Functioning  
We gather at main auditorium in the ⇒Congress Center (CC A), for a lecture on the ⇒Science of Human Functioning.

18:15 to 20:00 Dinner break
Again, visit our ⇒Foods & Drinks page where you will be finding a map with a selection of great locations...

20:00 to 21:30 Social Programme and Entertainment  
The ⇒Congress Center will be open daily from 8:00 to 21:00 as a hub for meeting, working together and relaxing. There will be an opportunity to dance a little after work together finishes at 21:30.
After Dinner evening entertainment events are scheduled at the ⇒Congress Center main auditorium (CC A). See our ⇒Social Programme and Entertainment page for details

8:00 to 21:30 Work-Exchange  
We hope that you will have the opportunity to make new acquaintances and the Working Together space will be open upstairs in the CC room B .

8:00 to 23:00
The foyer of the CC will be great social gathering place.
There will be a cafe for coffee and tea in the Congress Hall Foyer as well.

And: The ⇒Congress Hall is in a large park on the shore of ⇒Lake Lugano! A great place to relax and discuss with colleagues!
