Nadia Kevan
Supporting Life's Direction
Two day Learning Module - suitable for participants of diverse interests and backgrounds. Aim: Conscious use of the Psycho-physical Support System to deepen and extend self-awareness, perception and expression.
This workshop will be a practical introduction into the Psychophysical Support System, a fundamental and vital aspect of the postural reflex system and of the equally important systems of Self-Respect and Self-Expression. There will be a generous but not exclusive focus on the feet, legs, pelvis and hands and their psychophysical significance for living in connection to Self and the environment. The application to movement and human expression will be touched upon. The participants will be shown how they can begin to inhibit psycho-physically self-induced interferences and therefore gain useful experience of their support systems and how to use and integrate this work into their own movement and teaching practice.
