FM Alexander's original procedures and their relevance to life today

The speed of reaction in today's world is much faster than it was in FM's day. I would like to take his basic concepts and procedures and relate them to today's world - of faster communication, cars, mobile phones, internet, ect. Can we learn to pace ourselves intelligently using FM's techniques? I will talk about using Inhibition, Direction and the means whereby we may (or may not) gain our ends. Most of the time will be spent experientially, with plenty of opportunity for questions.

Anne Battye trained with the Barlows, qualifying in 1964. She has taught the Technique continuously, at the RADA, Central Middlesex University and on training courses. She is a STAT Moderator, runs her own private practice and particularly enjoys working with newly trained teachers.
