A Training with a Future? The Future of the Alexander Training.
Forum on Quality and Structure of the Alexander Training
In the summer of 2006 a group of trainers and training assistants was formed in Germany. This group meets on a regular basis to discuss questions about the Alexander Training. Almost every Alexander trainer in Germany has since once taken part in one of these meetings at least once. The focus of our work is to describe the quality of Alexander Training. What qualitative criteria does a modern, valuable Alexander Training require? Wilfully we left out the formal, quantitative criteria in our considerations and concentrated on matters of content and structure. So far these meetings have been very creative and constructive. Considering the coming changes in Alexander Training in England, Switzerland and other countries we believe it is "TIME" to lead this discussion in not only the affected countries, but internationally. This forum is a means whereby for inviting all Trainers and everyone else who is interested in matters of training to take part in the discussion.
Forum 1: Taking stock: A moderated time for collecting ideas for a modern and valuable Alexander Training
Forum 2: Presentation and Discussion of the coalated Results from the first Forum.
The Forums will be moderated by facilitators. Facilitators of the event are Oliviva Rohr and Alexander Bartmann.
