Peter Nobes & Antoinette Kranenburg

Alexander Technique: the Art of Living in the Moment

Marjory Barlow – FM’s niece - said in her 1966 F.M. Alexander Memorial Lecture:

“One of my pupils said Alexander has discovered the secret of Zen for our time”.
In this workshop we’ll have some fun with everyday activities and see if we can discover what she meant.

Peter Nobes trained in London with David Gorman, Margaret Edis and Ann Penistan, graduating in 1993. He teaches at the South Bank Alexander Centre in central London and enjoys taking Alexander into the workplace. Since 2002 he has run workshops for teachers and performers in Washington DC and Philadelphia, and at ATI conferences. He is a Sponsoring Member of ATI. Peter plays blues harmonica and builds wooden boats.

Antoinette Kranenburg trained at the Alexander School of Philadelphia graduating in 1988. She was fortunate to study with Marjorie Barstow starting in 1984. She teaches in her Kensington, MD practice and group classes and workshops around the Washington area. She is a teacher at the annual Seven Oaks residential course in Virginia and an occasional lecturer at Catholic University of America and Montgomery College.
