The Alexander Technique and Hatha Yoga
In this class we will explore some classical yoga asana paying particular attention to the means whereby.
Stress is laid on there no being any stress or strain. Yoga is a non competitive discipline: we don't compete with others nor with ourselves. It will be a mixed ability class, so anyone interested is welcome even with no previous experience in yoga.
Antonella Massimo lived in London from 1981 to 1992. She qualified with The British Wheel of Yoga in 1987 with her teacher Velta Wilson who also trained with Dr. Barlow. She has been teaching Yoga ever since. She worked for the London Adult Education and for various institutions among which Holloway prison, the Florence Nightingale Hospital and at The Central School of Speach and Drama.
She qualified at the Victotria School with Shoshana Kaminitz in 1992. Afterwards she moved to Rome, Italy.
As well as having her private practise, she has been teaching the Alexander Technique at the Conservatorio di Musica S. Cecilia since 2000 and at the Accademia Nazionale di danza, where she is also teaching Yoga since 2005.
She also teaches Yoga and the Alexander Technique prenatal and post natal classes at the Associazione il Nido.
