A Path to physical-psychological-spiritual evolution, to Conscious Awareness, to health & tranquility. The Art of Walking - for enjoyment, upliftment, therapy, release oftension, developing the lifeskills of Awareness, Inhibition, Direction, Constructiveness, Pace, Harmony, Balance.

The workshop offers:
a. Information/Discussion on unskillful habits and the causes;
b. Experiential exploration of  many dimensions of Walking
c. Guidance toward skilful Walking movement.

Practical exploration of elements of our Walking lives; and individual hands-onguidance toward Nature's walking pattern.Teaching FMA's principles and practice through developing Skilful Walking- restoring Nature's mechanics and incorporating the skills of awareness,inhibition, direction, release of tension and effort, conscious constructiveness.

Marguerite van der Merwe qualified as Teacher of The Alexander Technique in 1987, trained through Joyce Roberts’ and Walter Carrington’s training centres. 20 years teaching experience in South Africa. –Particular interests in work with children and women.
Widely studied in the fields of body, mind and spirit. Has focused on integrating scientific, psychological and spiritual understanding into the realm of the Bodymind, restoring respect for the individual’s ability to build overall health in a natural, intelligent, gentle way.
Individual/ group sessions, presentations, workshops in America & locally, retreat-workshops combining Alexander Technique with Walking, Tai Chi, Meditativeness. Author of ‘EVE-OLUTION—Enrichment of Feminine Consciousness and Body Awareness’.
Applies the work to all activities - learning new skills, playing tennis, walking, relationships & community building, house & garden etc - knowing that the deeper qualities of awareness, intelligence, relaxed functioning and attitude are vital in creating a rich, contented and healthy life at any age.
