Yoshi Inada
Understand the difference?
In the Alexander community, people often face difficulty to appreciate other Alexander teachers’ work, possibly due to their difference in training and in their personal experience of ‘good work’
In this workshop, we will examine our sensory appreciation, focusing on the perception of head-neck-back relationship, as each individual’s work is greatly influenced by it.
By looking at the differences, it is hoped to find keys to gain more understanding & value of the other Alexander teachers’ work.
The workshop is mainly practical work using lying down & standing-up position, chair & wall. Various procedures are used to experience different sense of head-neck-back relationship. Some ideas are used from anatomy, physiology, Yoga, Feldenkrais, cranio-sacral therapy, shiatsu & spiritual healing.
